Murder at the Lake

MURDER AT THE LAKE takes place on Austin’s beautiful Lake Travis, where summer storms can be as volatile as the lives of the teens who are visiting for a weekend retreat. As the storm progressively gets worse, downing trees and knocking out power, they decide to play a game of treasure hunting, but one-by-one the teens begin to disappear-leaving Amanda to suspect that an inheritance worth a fortune could be the motive.
I was inspired to create Amanda Christie after thinking about what Miss Jane Marple might be like if she were seventeen and living in today’s modern world. Amanda is a nice, wholesome girl, learning to navigate the first blush of young love with her UCON basketball player boyfriend, Chris. Chris is the son of an LA entertainment agent and Amanda also loves riding horses and anything to do with crime scene photography. She shares a dorm suite with her best friend, Katie Doyle and the three teens will invariably share many adventures together.
